This was shot at the stunning Hensol Castle. Everyone on the day looked incredible. The weather was perfect, maybe a litter hotter than needed but atmosphere perfect and the day was filled with events not previously recorded by Datrysiad Media!

Our style of shooting is discreet. We like to keep in the background making sure everyone feels comfortable, which allows the day to unfold naturally. We don’t do forced poses, we on occasion may see a shot that we think would be a lovely moment but our prime goal is to let you enjoy the day without intervention from us.

Leading up the special day, we spend a lot of time pre-planning, we make sure that we are always available to talk, to like to put your mind at ease and to give confidence that your investment is in the right hands

Wedding Schedule and Delivery

Our contract states that we will deliver the first revision in 10 working days. The ceremony film is always first to be delivered. However we have been getting all three films out in 10-11 days from the wedding date. For this wedding it took 17 days. There was more content I wanted to deliver to make sure we got all the best bits from the day. Plus we are still going through a personal family issue which caught us by surprise and will have long lasting impact.

Delivery Time Line:

  • 14th June - Wedding Day

  • 21st June- Ceremony & Hand Fast Film delivered to client

  • 25th June- Speeches Film delivered to client

  • 26th June - First Dance Film delivered to client

  • 1st July - Highlight Film delivered to client

  • 1st July - Mr & Mrs Game Film delivered to client

Day Time Line:

  • 09:00 - The day started filming the bride and the bridal party at vale hotel, which is 5 minutes from Hensol Castle, perfect!

  • 12:00 - Arrived at Hensol Castle and started setting up the multiple cameras, making sure microphones where placed on each speaker

  • 1:30 - Filming the ceremony

  • 2:00 Confetti Shot

  • 16:30 - Speeches

  • 19:00 - Hand fast ceremony

  • 19:50 - Cake cutting

  • 20:00 - First dance

  • 21:00 - Mr & Mrs Game

  • 22:00 - Sparkler moment

    WHAT DID WE DO

  • We shot this using a 4 camera setup to make sure we covered all angles of the day to deliver the best experience.

  • Officiant, groom, best man and additional speakers all had dedicated lavalieres to record audio.

  • We are discreet, our style is to let the day unfold and capture all the special moments you didn’t get to see.

  • We don’t force moments, we capture those that are there, forcing a moment can make the video feel unnatural which is the opposite of our style.

  • We followed health and safety guidelines to make sure everyone felt safe.
